Get 1-to-1 help from real university students – for free
Struggling with a subject? Not sure what to study next? On [Platform Name] you can book a free online session with a university student who’s already been through exams and applications, and understands exactly what you’re facing.
This platform is made for high school students who want extra support, honest answers and real guidance. All sessions are online, completely free, and focused on helping you feel more confident about school and your future.
Who is this for?
This page is for you if:
- You’re a high school student (GCSEs, A-Levels or equivalent).
- You want help with specific subjects (Maths, Physics, Languages, etc.).
- You want to talk to someone who has recent experience with exams and university.
- You’d like a friendly, informal space to ask questions you might not ask in class.
You don’t need to be top of the class. You don’t need to know exactly what you want to study. You just need to be curious and willing to talk.
What you can do on [Platform Name]
On this platform, you can:

How it works
- Create your account
Sign up as a High School Student with your email and password. In the future, your school may confirm that you belong to them, but you can start by creating your profile. - Tell us what you need
In your profile and booking form, you can choose:- The subject(s) you want help with
- Your school year / level
- Any specific topics or questions
- Choose a time for your session
Go to the booking section below, pick a date and time that works for you, and confirm your booking. You’ll get an email with the details. - Join your online session
At the time of your booking, click the link in your email or on your dashboard and join the video call. Your university tutor will meet you there and work with you for around 45 minutes. - Give feedback (optional)
After the session, you can leave feedback so we can keep improving the experience for you and other students.
What a 45-minute session looks like
Every session is a bit different, because it’s based on what you need. But a typical 45-minute lesson might look like this:
- 5 minutes – Quick hello, understand what you’re stuck on, agree a goal for the session.
- 30 minutes – Work through questions together, explain ideas in a way that makes sense to you, go through examples or past papers.
- 10 minutes – Recap the key points, make sure you feel clearer, suggest what you can do next on your own.
You can ask as many questions as you like. There are no marks, no grades, no pressure – just support.
Your safety and privacy
We take your safety seriously. Some of the key points:
- No fees, no payments – sessions are free for you as a student.
- No public personal details – your contact details are not shown publicly.
- School involvement (optional) – schools can have their own accounts to confirm that students belong to them and to keep an eye on how the platform is being used.
- You can always report a problem – if something feels wrong, you (or your parent/guardian) can contact us and we’ll review it.
We also encourage you to:
- Join sessions from a shared or visible space at home, not a locked private room.
- Let a parent or guardian know when you have a session booked.

Questions you might have
Does this cost anything?
No. There is no cost for you as a high school student. Sessions on [Platform Name] are free.
Do I have to turn on my camera?
We recommend using your camera because it usually makes the conversation easier and more natural. But if you don’t feel comfortable, talk to your tutor – the important thing is that you can hear each other clearly.
Can my parent or guardian be nearby?
Yes, absolutely. They can be in the same room, and they’re welcome to say hello at the beginning of the session if they want.
What if I don’t understand something in the session?
Just say so. The whole point is to explain things in a way that works for you. Your tutor can slow down, try another example, or break the idea into smaller steps.
Can I book with the same tutor again?
Where possible, yes. If you find someone you click with, you can ask to book with them again when there are free slots.
